Floods wreak havoc as Kenyans struggle to get to work

Kenyans were on Thursday morning forced to wade in the water on their way to work after floods wrecked havoc in Nairobi.

The rains pounded several parts of Nairobi from Wednesday night to Thursday morning.

Several parts of the CBD were flooded including Kenyatta Avenue and Uhuru Highway.

Roads in the outskirts of the CBD like Ojijo Road in Parklands and Ngong road were also not spared.

South C experienced floods in several sections due to its poor drainage system.

On Wednesday a school girl died after rains hit Maimahiu splitting a section of Maimahiu- Narok road.

The weather man had earlier warned of floods all over the country this week with Nairobi being highlighted as one of the areas that will experience floods.
