Kakamega Homeboyz will begin their title defense of the Fkf Cup against lower-tier side Solian City in the round of 32 fixtures on February 24.
The fixtures were released after a public draw conducted on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE).
After edging out Afc Leopards in the last year’s edition Home Boyz who represented the country in the Confederation Cup were beaten 4-1 by Libyan side, Al Hilal Benghazi.
38 clubs have expressed interest in participating in the knockout competition, that is, 14 FKF Premier League clubs, 6 FKF National Super League clubs, 4 FKF Division One clubs, and 14 regional clubs.
They are six matchups in this preliminary round: Vegpro vs Kenya Police, Wisdom Soccer Academy vs Posta Rangers, Al Azizia vs Luanda Villa, Eldoro Sports Club Villa vs Mombasa Stars, Marafiki vs FC Talanta, and Bungoma Stars vs Bandari. The winners will play each other in the round of 32 action set to kick off on Saturday, February 24, to Sunday, February 25, 2024.
The winners of the Mozzart Bet Cup will represent Kenya in the CAF Confederations Cup.
