Football teams hit by acute training grounds shortage

Many grassroot football teams are faced with an acute shortage of training grounds in Nairobi.

Parkroad football team is one of the teams that is faced with training grounds challenge that has affected its growth and performance.

Parkroad football team based in Ngara is training at the Ziwani Umeme Grounds albeit with challenges.

Speaking to Ghetto Radio Sports, Mohamed Guo says their practice sessions at the Umeme Grounds have been interrupted severally by the grounds’ home teams.

“There are many teams practicing in the field both junior and senior teams.Due to lack of space junior teams are denied opportunity to practice wasting there football talent.” Says Mohammed.

He urges the Kenya Football Federation to look upon teams in the grass root areas because the young football talents lack places to nature their talent due inadequeate training feilds.

“Many of our junior players end up naturing their football talents late and yet by the time they grasp the basics other players from other countries have more experience than them due to lack of training grounds.”

Ghetto radio today hosted Parkroad fc on Ghetto radio sports on its initiative “world cup mtaani 2018” to give its fans an exclusive world cup experience by inviting local teams to discuss about the world cup.
