Ford Kenya’s Khamisi Butichi has called on IEBC to extend the voting time in the ongoing Kibra by-elections.
Butichi who cast his vote at the DC grounds at around 10:00 am, argued that low voter turn out has been witnessed in some areas because most people are at work.
Speaking to Ghetto Radio News at YMCA grounds in Line Saba, he also added that should he lose, then he is ready to support and work with whoever will be elected.
“There is very low turnout because most people in Kibra are hustlers. Most of them have gone to work. If IEBC could extend the time even by one hour it will enable those who are currently at work to come and vote. It is also a lesson to IEBC, next time they should hold elections over the weekend.” He said
