In the emotional video, Mbugua disclosed how he had fallen into the grips of depression and substance abuse.
“I realized I could suffer in silence and not speak out and be depressed again and go back to drugs. I don’t want to go back to drugs,” he said.
Mbugua revealed aspirations of launching a new business venture, showcasing his determination to turn his life around.
“I am in a position where many people are not willing to help, they say they are tired,”

He emphasized that he is actively seeking a serious business partner who can join him on this journey and help him achieve success in his upcoming endeavor.

In 2022, Mbugu’as mother Peris Wanjiku in an interview with Mpasho addressed allegations of neglect regarding her son’s wellbeing.
She revealed that Mbugua was still undergoing counselling sessions in the hospital at that time this is after Mbugua alleged to have been abandoned.
Wanjiku also confirmed that her son had been admitted to Mathare Hospital with severe addiction issues, especially involving marijuana.
“When he tries smoking weed, he goes psycho. We have not neglected him, and we feel so bad about his condition. It’s like he is doing that to hurt us. We have forgiven him, and we have no problem with him,” she said.
However, Wanjiku fondly remembered her son as a very good child before the onset of his struggles.
