Former Governor Waititu’s son found guilty of drunk driving


Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu’s son was on Monday fined Sh30,000 after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol.

Brian Ndung’u Waititu was accused of driving a Toyota Probox on Muindi Mbingu Street under the influence on Monday.

He was arrested at around 1:30 am and arraigned before Principle Magistrate Esther Kimilu.

The prosecution stated that he was under the influence of alcohol and incapable of controlling the Toyota Probox he was driving.

Waititu pleaded guilty guilty and wa fined Ksh. 30,000 or spend three months in jail.

“Your honour I plead for leniency before this court and I will not repeat the offence,” he told the court.
