Former IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba lands new govt job
ICT CS Joe Mucheru has appointed former IEBC Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba as a member of the Youth Enterprise Development Fund Board.
Chiloba’s appointment to the board will run for three years.
Chiloba was fired in 2018 after allegedly turning down invitations to answer audit queries that had been raised at the commission.
The embattled CEO then retreated to his Trans Nzoia farm where he started large scale farming of maize.
At some point Chiloba described his exit at IEBC as a crisis that not only saw him lose his job but also denied him peace.
“It took a crisis for me to see the opportunities in farming,” he told The Standard Newspaper.
