Former Kamukunji Member of Parliament Ibrahim Ahmed popularly known as Johnny has passed on just a few days after taking the Sputnik V vaccine.
Johnny reportedly died last night at the Coptic Hospital where he had been rushed after falling ill.
Reports indicate that the aspirant who also vied for the Kamukunji seat on an ODM ticket has been battling some kidney complications.
The Orange Democratic Movement has eulogised Johnny by appreciating the time they shared together and the ideas he gave.
“We mourn the death of our member and former candidate for the Kamukunji Parliamentary Seat Ibrahim Ahmed (Johnny) who has been battling kidney problems for years. As a party, we appreciate the time we shared together and the ideas he gave. We pray for his soul to RIP,” the party announced.
Lawyer Donald Kipkorir who claims to have known Johnny for years has asked those claiming that the Sputnik V vaccine has killed him to stop the rumours.
Johny won the Kamukunji parliamentary seat in 2003 which was later nullified.
