Kenya Rugby fans are in mourning following the death of Former Kenya 7s and Kenya Harlequin flyer Allan Makaka.
According to a reliable source, Makaka rammed into a lorry along Mombasa road and died on the spot.
37 year old Makaka passed away on impact the night of Friday 22 May 2020 on after a car he was driving is said to have rammed into a truck.
Makaka, arguably one of Kenya’s fastest wingers, scored 142 tries on the World Sevens Series trail in his hey days.
Born on June 28, 1982, Makaka was a former Kenya Sevens international and was part of the squad that played at the 2005 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Hong Kong and the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia.
He made a total of 57 appearances in the Sevens World Series, scoring 28 tries to rank 21st overall amongst Kenya’s all-time try scorers in the World Series.
