Former NTV news anchor Winnie Mukami is dead.
Mukami who left NTV to practice Public Relations allegedly died of Covid-19 complications at the Nairobi Hospital.
The former TV siren used to host lunch time news on NTV. She was also a board member of the Kenya Pipeline Company.
The media fraternity has mourned Mukami, who even after quitting NTV still kept in touch with her colleagues but as a PR practitioner.
“Just got news that we have lost another media colleague – former NTV news anchor Winnie Mukami. Condolences to her family and friends as she rests,” tweeted Oliver Mathenge.
“And now news that former NTV anchor Winnie Mukami has passed on. What a week,” wrote Ferdinand Omondi.
Mukami is the second journalist to die of Covid-19 this week after Robin Njogu of Royal Media Services.
