Four Police Officers Arrested Over Robbery with Violence

Four police officers were today arrested over robbery with violence in Ruiru Sub-County, Kiambu County.

The four officers namely Thomas Agumba Okuku, Lawrence Mbau, James Munyoki and Dan Keya, allegedly arrested a man last week while implementing the Covid-19 protocols.

A report seen by Ghetto Radio states that one of the five officers then took the phone of the man and forcefully transferred Ksh. 1,030 to his number.

Kiambu County Police Commander Ali Nuno says that investigations revealed that the officers then withdrew the money from an Mpesa Shop.

“After conducting preliminary investigations, it was established that the sh1030 sent to Martin Ndichu was later transferred to one Thomas Agumba Okuku. Police Constable Thomas Okuku happened to be among the officers from Ruiru Police Station who were on patrol when the incident occurred and is suspected to have made the Mpesa transaction,” read a statement from the police.
