Kenyans on social media are taunting the President’s statement after the sudden about-turn from labeling them criminals to now referring to them as sons and daughters while withdrawing the controversial Finance Bill 2024.
“And now my fellow criminals, we are sons and daughters once again” read a post.
Despite terming it treasonous, social media was lit with notable figures who were spearheading the protests assuming their new names.
In a mockery, they courageously referred to themselves as “Fellow Criminals” while giving each other a pat on the back for a job well done.
While affirming to withdraw the bill, the president’s earlier tough-talk was replaced with a rather calming tone.
However, many have since rubbished the statement terming it a mere gimmick. They have summarized it in one word “BULLSHIT” which is being plastered on their timelines.
His handlers have also been called out for misadvising him big-time.
When they saw the clouds gathering last week they totally ignored the signs. He could have withdrawn it by then.
The killings and the trail of destruction left could have been avoided.
Never in the history of the East African region has ever seen what Kenyans did.
The message was bold and clear, the finance bill wasn’t going to be shoved down their throats.
Continued Protests
From the calendar earlier provided, the protests are continuing with yet another one set for tomorrow June 27th, 2024.
It’s dubbed the “One Million People March” drawn from the seven days of rage calendar.
The KDF that was earlier deployed to help the police in law enforcement have since been restrained by the courts.
In the meantime, blood donations are being conducted in several hospitals in aiding victims of police shootings.
Kenya is currently on the global map with the UN boss and the international community casting doubts on his leadership.
