All players initially called up to the national U23 football team’s Emerging Stars camp have since checked in as of Tuesday, July 6, 2021.
This as the team intensified preparations for the 2021 CECAFA Senior Championships with a training session at the Ruaraka Grounds.
“We are a full house as at the moment. Our focus now is to condition the team to be ready for the tough but doable tournament in Ethiopia, ” said Emerging Stars coach Stanley Okumbi.
On Friday, July 9, 2021, Emerging Stars is set to learn who they will face in the regional tournament.
The team is set to tentatively leave for Ethiopia on July 14, 2021, to attend the regional tournament that now kicks off on July 17, 2021.
