Switching His National Allegiance To Ghana

Ghana Football Association (GFA) in the past revealed that Pfeiffer was among several players switching their national allegiance to Ghana.
However, a delay in completing his paperwork meant he was unable to join the Black Stars’ squads until now.

I have My Passport
In an update from Augsburg’s pre-season camp in Mpumalanga, South Africa, Pfeiffer shared his excitement about the development
“A few weeks ago I was in Ghana and now I have my passport,” he told South African journalists. “I hope in September I can get a call-up. I know the coach, Otto Addo, because he was the coach of Hamburg in the youth team [where I played].”
Patric Pfeiffer expressed his strong connection to Ghana, saying, “This is my motherland, I love Ghana, I love the people, I love the vibe, I love the food. Yes, I was born and raised in Germany but I love Ghana as well.”
Pfeiffer is a product of Darmstadt 98, and he helped them gain promotion to the Bundesliga in 2023/2024 before he joined Augsburg.
Having represented the German U18 and U19 national teams, football enthusiasts argue that the Black Stars were following his progress
In the last season Pfeiffer made 11 appearances in the Bundesliga.
Ghana will be playing in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in September after being drawn in the same group with Niger, Angola and Sudan.
