Former club Leipzig said: “This news deeply affects us. We mourn the loss of our former player Agyemang Diawusie, who passed away at the age of just 25.

“Our thoughts are with his family, his friends and his club SSV Jahn Regensburg. Rest in peace, Agyemang.”

Eintracht Frankfurt tweeted: “We are equally shocked and wish his family and friends a lot of strength during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Agyemang Diawusie.”
