Gospel singer Moji Short Baba in collaboration with Ghetto radio brought eastlands to a halt during the Cheza Gospel event that went down at the Deliverance Church grounds in Umoja Eastlands.

Moji of the former gospel gospel duo Kelele Takatifu was the showstopper for the gospel show that brought together a host of leading Kenyan gospel acts.

He dropped his hit songs; highly favored, Dance Ya Kanisa, Mitumba, Vimbada and Cheza gospel in a high-pitched performance backed up by dancers.

Pastor Macharia from Deliverance Church prayed in sheng for the hundreds of gospel lovers that had turned up for the event.

Other performers were Desito, Ben Cyco who belted out some of his favorite jams; Asante, Salama, Tawala, Najinice, One touch before ushering in praise and worship warrior Timam.

Timam dropped hits like Washa nare, nafsi moja and Kamagera.

He was followed up by Us based Singer Benachi,he sang his song Mwanake which he did with the departed Kaberere as the crowd sang word by word.Dressed in red denim suit,red pullneck and matching shoes,he went on to sing his other songs namely Moyo and the gospel amapiano nashukuru.

For christian hip hop lovers,Muhanji offered the perfect doze through his set with songs like Yesu tiyo,Nazidi,Horera and Iwake.

Another promising gospel hypeman,Hype Ola also worked up the crowd backed by dancers before the performances by artist’s resumed.

Manolo came through with another powerful performance singing Weka juu, fiti and faith anthem. He was followed by Garvey Royal who sang Kata tenje and step on it among others.

Gospel heavyweight Mercy Masika was next delivering some of her biggest tunes; Mwema, Yesu and Shule yako among others. She thanked God for the new year and prayed for success.

“We’re thanking God in advance for 2023…yes there will be battles but we shall overcome” Mercy Masika.

Ghetto Radio’s Dj Ruff took to the desks taking the show a notch higher with his reggae set as the crowd went wild chanting.

Soon was Jabidii, Timeless Noel and Didiman on stage with an electrifying performance. They dropped hits like Moyo, Weka tick, ABCD and Shoot satan among others. They then invited Evelyn Wanjiru who took the crowd through her praise and worship set.

Award winning gospel star Guardian Angel worked up the crowd with his songs like Taunet nelel refix and Rada. The Swadakta singer invited his wife Esther Musila as they danced in unison to Rada amid cheers from the crowd. His performance was short lived with the crowd asking for more.
