Ghetto Radio journalist Judith Kanaitha has made it to the 2021 finalists of the Rorypeck Trust Awards.
Kanaitha’s story titled Baby Stealers which she did alongside Njeri Mwangi was commissioned by the BBC.
The Award recognizes the work of freelance journalists in video news features that make a more in-depth look at a story, beyond the immediacy of the news.
The Baby Stealers Story showed how hospital officials were selling newly born children to child traffickers.
The in-depth investigative feature further caused an uproar leading to the arrest of and arraignment of some officials.
