Leading Kenyan urban media house, Ghetto Radio teamed up with Chrome (East African Breweries Limited) in an activation dubbed “Kwachu Drip Luku Iwe Diriba” at Rongai town, Kajiado County.

The activation is in preparation for the unveiling of a new package of Chrome from the giant distillery, KBL.

Luku Avenue

The activation saw hundreds of Rongai residents who have attained the age 18 years walk away with free upper garments namely T. Shirts, cardigans, blouses and hoodies among others.

The first step involved picking a card with a secret number at the back.

Thereafter, the secret number was verified with the corresponding number attached to an upper garment hanged on the “Kwachu Drip Luku Iwe Diriba” billboard and handed over.

Following next was posing for pictures in the mirror thus attaining the “Kwachu Drip Luku Iwe Diriba” theme.

The act of picking garments from the billboard was no child’s play, a truck was on standby complete with a crane with two crews carrying out tasks.

They kept going back and forth picking garments for various people.

Matatu Culture

The event also brought out Kenya’s matatu culture with a souped up “Nganya” also known as Mathree or simply Manyanga blasting music from its speakers.

Speaking during the event, many of the attendees did not only share their gratitude for receiving free “Luku” but also shared their anticipation of the unveiling of chromes new package.

On Saturday-tomorrow, the activation is slated for Kiambu town while Sunday all roads are leading to the TRM Mall along Thika Road in Nairobi.
