Ghetto Radio’s presenter DJ Katta has been nominated for “Radio Host Of The Year” at this years People’s Choice Awards.
Taking to his Instagram, the celebrated media personality was an elated man as he revealed his nomination.
While detailing his stint as a breakfast show co-host, Katta further thanked his fans while appealing for support through votes.
“9 months down the line co-hosting a breakfast show on @ghettoradio895 and people have been following, a big thanks to @peopleschoiceawardske for the Radio host of the year award, shout out to humble beginnings. Watu wangu kuanzia Monday ni kuvote tuchukuwe hii kitu asubuhi na mapema” posted Katta.

According to an email from the awards panel, DJ Katta had exhibited great talent thus earning the nomination.
“We are thrilled to inform you that you have been nominated for the second edition of the 2023 People’s Choice Awards, in the esteemed category of ‘Radio Host Of The Year’. Your exceptional talent and artistry have truly stood out we believe you deserve this recognition” read part of the email.

A Jack Of All Trade
DJ Katta is a jack of all trades and a master of all, he’s a radio host, Singer, DJ and graphic designer.
He honed his graphic skills at Nairobits, a Community based Empowerment College in Mathare.
He has since handled projects for urban media house, Ghetto Radio, Former Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi, Bahati and Ethic Ent. among others.
Katta is a protege of street acclaimed desk master, Kalonje.
Apart from his radio assignments, he still holds other gigs from public, private to corporate engagements.

Some of his songs include Sakata, By Far and Balaa among others.
His breakfast show dubbed ‘brekko’ runs from Mondays to Fridays 6am – 10am alongside Majimaji and King Kafu.
He also host’s Saturday’s night radio party ‘Dundaa’ with prolific DJ Ricks from 8pm -12 midnight.
