Ghetto Radio’s Reporter Rodgers Oduor has been elected the Vice-Treasurer of Court Reporters Association of Kenya(CRAK) in elections held on Saturday in Nairobi.
The polls produced stark leadership shake-up as new faces swept to office that will now be led by Secretary General Sam Kiplagat of Daily Nation to steer their association.
Those who were elected on are The Star Newspaper journalist Susan Muhindi as Chairman, Vice Chairperson- Dzuya Walter of Citizen and Carolyne Kubwa of People Daily.
Standard journalist Kamau Muthoni was unanimously elected Chief Whip
Present during the election was the association’s patron Supreme Court Judge Justice Isaac Lenaola.
In their inaugural addresses the news leaders promised to steer the association to the next level.
They said;
“Thank you for trusting Rodgers and I with the Treasurer’s docket.We promise to work with dedication and dignity it deserves. Let’s work together to better the association ” Rodgers and Carol Said in joint statement.
“Let’s move forward and be a role model to upcoming court Reporters.”Dzuya said
“As we embark on this new chapter, I am fully aware of the responsibilities that come with it.My commitment is to serve with integrity and dedication.”Said Susan Muhindi
