Ghetto Radio’s mid morning show ‘Niaje Niaje’ has been nominated for the East Africa Talanta Awards.
The show has been nominated for the radio show of the year category among Eight other competitors.
According to Edward, the Executive Director this years event is focusing on Harnessing integration of art and Business.
“Our theme this year is helping creatives learn how they can make money through their art. Most of the artists in Kenya are ignorant of steps to take so that they may be able to earn a living through their work.
ETA Awards Ke as a stakeholder in the space has identified the gap and we thought that it is important creatives are taught about the business aspect in art…..let’s talk of how to invest their hard earned money, expenditure habits and living within their means,” Edward said.

ETA unveils list of nominees
ETA awards unveiled the list of this years nominees over the weekend where they also discussed why they reduced the number of categories from forty four to thirty eight.
“The focus was on strengthening the categories instead of having many categories that are more less the same. We combined most of the categories and also added a few more to help recognize people who help in creating change in the community,” He added.
How to vote for the nominees
Voting of the nominees is already open and everyone can vote for their favourite nominees through the link https://etaawardske.co.ke/voteor or an application programme which was created to help people in diaspora through the voting process.
People can also vote by dialling *789*2020# Enter Nominee Code then follow prompts where each vote costs Ksh. 10.
The main event will be held on 7th September 2024 in Machakos County.
