Gikomba ,Eastleigh Traders Asked To Follow Covid-19 Rules To Protect Customers


Gikomba market traders and Eastleigh business owners have bee asked to protect their customers as they go about their daily  businesses.

According to Kamkunji Deputy County Commissioner Samuel Kariuki, the government is concerned about the risk of exposure in the two areas because of the huge population and the level interaction.

Kariuki has asked the traders to wear masks at all times when serving their customers.
“We know the population in these  areas is too high but business people  must help us in the fight against Covid-19 by wearing masks all the time because they interact with different types of people and social distancing may be a challenge.” He said.

Meanwhile all the administration officers and Nyumba Kumi heads have been dispatched to sensitize wananchi on the importance of following health protocols .

” We are involving our chiefs and nyumba kumi on awareness program to ensure that our people follow Covid 19 guidelines.” He added.
