Girl Who Scored 353 marks to lose slot in Secondary School Over Lack Of School Fee

A 15 year old girl in Kisumu County is appealing to the general public to help her raise fee for Joining Sinyolo Girls High school.

Judith Akoth Otieno sat for her KCPE exams at Ragumo Primary School and scored 353 marks.

She says that she might miss the opportunity for Joining Sinyolo Girls due to lack of school fees.

According to Atieno, her father who is a mason has not been able to go to work after he broke his thigh bone while at work.

“My dad is sick and my mom is the one who sells local vegetables for us to get something to eat.  My brother is at Kisumu day;” she says.

Otieno says that her mother who sells vegetables to eke a living had suggested that she stays at home for one year to enable her get enough money for school fees.

“Since there is no money, my mother suggested that I stay who for a year of which still we are not sure whether will get the money,” says Otieno.

Otieno also expressed disappointment for not being able to secure the Equity Wings To Fly Scholarship.

“Today I visited Equity bank to confirm if I managed to secure a scholarship but unfortunately I have not secured a chance. Please I’m requesting for your assistance,” she cried.

She says that she is ready to join even day schools within Kisumu if she will not be able to get enough fee for Sinyolo Girls.
