Girls top the 2020 KCPE exams

Mumo Faith Kawii a student from Kari Mwailu Primary School has emerged best candidate in the 2020 KCPE examinations with 433 marks.

Mumo is followed by Wesonga Nanzala from Chogoria Girls Primary School with 432 marks.

Third on the list is another girl called Angel Gakenia from Maseno Girls with 431 marks.

While releasing the exams, Education CS Magoha stated that out of the top 15 students, eight of them were girls while seven were boys.

Magoha also stated that this year’s results that saw over 1 Million candidates sit for their exams experienced some improvement from the 2019 examinations.

“Public schools got 10 out of 15 top slots. Female candidates took 8 slots the first three overall slots,” said Magoha.

“Candidates to collect their results from their respective examination centers. Individual candidate’s results can be accessed by sending The index number followed by the Initials KCPE through SMS to 20076,” said Magoha.
