After regaining the lead at the top of the table Gor-Mahia will be in action on Wednesday against Talanta in a midweek match to be played at Kasarani main stadium, Nairobi.
Austin Odhiambo scored the only game of the match against Kenya Police edging out Tusker fc who had taken the lead after beating Wazito 2-0 in a midweek match.
The brewers fell to second after losing by a similar margin to third placed Nzoia Sugar in Bungoma.
James Kibande scored the lone goal for Nzoia from the penalty spot, to dent Tusker’s charge for the title.
In another match 13-time champions Afc Leopards blew away a 2-1 advantage in stoppage time to share spoils with KCB at Moi Stadium, Kasarani.
Peter Thiong’o put Leopards in front three minutes from the start.
Victor Omune then doubled the advantage on the stroke of halftime, handing them a significant advantage heading into the break.
KCB came back more re-energised for the second half and it took them only five minutes to restore parity through Cliff Oruko’s splendid effort.
Fans were not allowed in the Sunday match after Leopards fans were barred from the stands following the fracas witnessed at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega a week ago.
KCB are fourth place on the log with 49 points, seven adrift of leaders Gor Mahia.
Ingwe will also be in action on Wednesday will play away against Bidco United on Wednesday 26th April 2023.
Leopards are in the eighth place with 38 points.
Elsewhere, Kakamega Homeboyz secured a convincing 2-0 win to pile more misery on neighbours Vihiga Bullets in a thrilling Ingo derby at Bukhungu Stadium on Sunday.
