The Kenya Premier League Champions for the 2022-2023 will be known this coming weekend after leaders Gor-Mahia lost by 3-2 against Kakamega Homeboyz and Defending Champions Tusker came from a goal down to draw 1-1 against Posta Rangers in Ruaraka.
Kogalo are in pole position to win the title leading the league with 67 points ahead of the Brewers who are at 68.
Meanwhile Mathare United’s fate has been sealed ending 17 years at the top flight after going down by a solitary goal against Ulinzi Stars.
The slam boys have been relegated after their counterparts Wazito beat Bidco United by a goal to nil.
Wazito are on 29 points and their last match against Mathare will not be of a great significance because the best Mathare can get is 28 points. Wazito’s win in Thika now means they will be in the promotion playoff.
