Government seeking speedy solution to Miraa ban
The Government through its spokesman Eric Kiraithe has addressed the Issue on the ban on Miraa to Somalia saying that it was treating this issue with the emergency it requires and that they were already in negotiations with the Somali government for a speedy resolution.
He added that speculations on the ban being linked to Governor Peter Munya’s visit were unfounded and that issues on trade imports and exports were exclusively handled by National government.
Kiraithe also assured the journalists that the government had received their petitions following their demonstrations yesterday and reiterated government’s commitment to protect the journalists and their practice.
