Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko seems to be in a celebratory mood just a few minutes after embattled Speaker Beatrice Elachi announced her resignation.

Sonko on his Facebook Page has posted a series of gospel songs that are thanking God for whatever He has done.

The flamboyant governor first posted Usikiaye Maombi by Kathy Praise on his Facebook Page. The songs talks about how God listens and answers prayers for those who pray to him.

An hour later the governor then posted Mkono wa Bwana by Zabron singers, then almost immediately Sio Juju Ni Maombi song by Nadia Mukami.

Elachi resigned today morning sighting frustrations and threats to her life allegedly by Governor Mike Sonko.

She has further asked Members of the County Assembly of Nairobi to continue supporting Nairobi Metropolitan Services a move she says will ensure the city is developed to  better heights.

Sonko and Elachi have not seen eye to eye for quite some time now, with their different factions of MCAs engaging in brawls from time to time.
