Govt Urged To Beef Up Security Ahead Of Census

A section of Kenyans now want the government to beef up security ahead of the census exercise set to be conducted next week.

Those who spoke to Ghetto Radio News expressed concerns saying most Kenyans will not be safe if the exercise is conducted at night.

They now want the government to instead conduct the exercise during the day as it is deemed safer.

“people have become cunning in Kenya, a person will just don the police uniform or census uniform and pretend to be an official only to rob you or even conduct heinous act like rape,” said one concerned citizen.

Training of successful enumerators who will conduct the census exercise have already begun.

Content supervisors started training more than one month ago.

The exercise will be conducted on the 24th and 25th of this month.
