American rapper Gucci Mane’s signed artist Terrell Davis commonly known as Ralo hopes to earn his freedom following the recent legalization of marijuana in New York City by the Governor Andrew Cuomo and the subsequent legalization of the drug in New Jersey.
The ‘Calm Me Down’ rapper was arrested in 2018 for marijuana possession, 444 pounds of marijuana was discovered on a private jet registered in his name at the DeKalb-Peachtree Airport in Georgia.
Despite possession of marijuana being legal in the state, selling or growing marijuana remains illegal.
He was charged with two federal counts of possession with intent to distribution of weed.
Federal agents believed Ralo and his gang ‘Famerica’ have been using planes chartered by the rapstar to shuttle over 900,000 pounds of marijuana worth nearly $2 million.
He has spent the last two years behind bars.
His earlier attempt to seek release on bail was thwarted after it was discovered that he had continued in the distribution of drugs while he was still in custody.
Judge Michael L. Brown produced handwritten notes from his wife’s purse that warned her save to money, he had used coded words for drugs and also instructed her to be wary of law enforcers.
He is now appealing to President Joe Biden for pardon, he also hopes that high profile supporters like Drake and his stable boss-Gucci Mane will help to have him set free.
