Harambee Starlets squad for Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifier named

The National Women football team, Harambee Starlets, coach David Ouma has named 26 players in his provisional squad for the upcoming Africa Women Cup of Nations Qualifier against Equatorial Guinea.

The team is largely comprised of players who did duty for Kenya in the first round against Uganda.

Notable inclusions include Teresa Engesha and Janet Bundi, who have starred for Vihiga Queens and Eldoret Falcons respectively in the FKF Women Premier League.

Oserian Ladies defender Anita Adongo has also been called up, while Vihiga Queens Goalkeeper Lilian Awuor, who was part of the U20 Women team last year, has been recalled.

The team is set to report to camp on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, in Machakos ahead of the two-legged qualifier. The first leg will be played on June 6, 2018, at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, with the second leg slated for June 9, 2018.
