Harambee Stars Coach Jacob Mulei has ben relieved of his duties by the Federation.
In a press release sent by the FKF Secretary General Barry Otieno the decision was arrived at by mutual consent.
“FKF and Harambee Stars head coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee, his assistant Twahir Muhiddin and goalkeeping coach Haggai Azande have reached a decision to part ways by mutual consent effective immediately.
“Assistant coaches Ken Odhiambo and William Muluya will remain in the team as the federation works to reconstruct the Harambee Stars technical bench ahead of the 2022 World Cup qualifier against Mali, scheduled for October 6 and 12 respectively,” read the statement.
He took over from Wazito’s Coach Francis Kimanzi on a three year deal and his main objective was to guide the Stars to the World Cup.
The contract was to be for three years’ after the exit of Kimanzi and his technical bench.
He was appointed as coach October on the 21st of October 2020 after sacking of Francis Kimanzi who also was on ‘mutual consent’.
The Former Tusker Coach has managed 8 matches, 4 of which were AFCON 2020 QUALIFIERS, 2WQR and 2 international friendly matches,
Out of the 8 fixtures he won 3(2 friendly matches and one dead rubber) drew 4 and lost one
