Harambee Stars kicks off residential training for Zambia international friendly

Harambee Stars held two training sessions today on their second day in camp ahead of the scheduled friendly against Zambia this week.

16 of the 23 players named in the final squad for the match took part in the evening session, with the remaining seven expected to check into camp in due course.

The friendly, which acts as a buildup to the upcoming back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Comoros in November, has been slated for Friday, October 9, 2020, at the Nyayo National Stadium starting at 4 pm EAT.

The Ministry of Sports cleared FKF to stage the friendly  provided they adhere to Covid-19 regulations.

The match was hanging in the balance since the government had not yet given clearance for Kenya to host the friendly since contact sports, including football, are still suspended in the country owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
