Harmonize’s team was left stranded after the agency contracted to book their tickets back to Dar es salaam cancelled their ticket.
The promoter had allegedly not paid the agency that was in charge of the tickets prompting them to cancel the tickets.
The team was left stranded at JKIA from 10:00 am when they were supposed to leave upto later in the night on Sunday.
Harmonize’s manager said the promoter spent much time in their hotel room on Saturday when they were supposed to be performing, all the while saying he had some money in the car and was waiting for his partner to bring some more cash.
The promoter then left at around 1:00 am to go collect the cash from the parking lot only to disappear.
“Tuliingia Eldoret on Friday na mapokezi yakawa mazuri sana. Tukawa tumefanya mpaka sound check na msanii wangu alikuwa tayari kabisa kufanya show. But they never returned to our room. Mwendo wa sa nane ndipo niliamua kwenda kuona whats going on, nikapata promoter wa show kule nje akisema partner wake for the event ameondoka na Gari lililokuwa na pesa na hapatikani kwa simu. Wakati huu tayari mashabiki walikuwa wemasubiri vyakutosha mpaka wameanza kuzua vurugu” said the Manager.
