A Primary headteacher in Kombewa, Kisumu County has been arrested for allegedly raping a 19 year old teenager whom he had employed in his cyber café.
It is reported that the suspect did the heinous act inside the cyber.
A police report by the area chief Caleb Apondi states that the victim reported the incident at his office on Sunnday at around 5.30PM.
According to Apondi, the perpetrator entered the cyber cafe’ through the backdoor, pinned the girl to the ground then raped her.
Apondi says the girl carried bloodied tissue papers to his office as evidence of the heinous act.
“When the matter was reported to me, I called the suspect to my office to to explain himself and he refused. Thereafter, I called police and we went to his cyber cafe and arrested him as we conduct further investigations”,added chief Apondi.
The suspect is currently in police custody at Kombewa Police Station pending investigations.
Rape and defilement cases have been on the rise recently in Seme Subcounty.
Last December a police officer who works at Kombewa Police station was arrested after he was accused of defiling and impregnating a 15 year old girl.
Another case was reported from East Seme ward where a politician aspirant was accused of defiling a form three student from Bishop Abiero girls.
