Laini Saba Kibra fire victims have urged well-wishers, leaders and the Government to help them bounce back.
More than 300 houses were razed down yesterday in a fire incident that affected over 200 families.
The victims who were forced to spend the night in the cold following the fire incident are also appealing for financial help in order to buy school uniforms and other important educational materials for their school going children.
“We have not received any assistance from the government since the fire broke out yesterday not even the non-governmental organizations. We have eaten nothing, our children have not gone to school,” Judy Ngina a Laini Saba Kibra fire victim said.

According to Judy majority of students who were set to join form one this week won’t be able to report to school since their Parents have been left penniless.
“There are students who were supposed to report to Form one this week but following the incident sadly some won’t make it because their parents have lost everything in this fire,” She added.
She also revealed to Ghetto Radio that they have been trying to seek help from local leaders but sadly they have been unable to reach them.
“We have tried to call our leaders but they have instead switched off their phones. None has been able to come here or even their representatives,” she lamented.
