Pubs bars and restaurants workers have vowed to continue with street demonstrations until the government removes lockdown in five counties.
The workers also want President Uhuru Kenyatta to reopen hotels that were partially closed due the third wave of coronavirus.
In an interview with Ghetto Radio News entertainer Eric Mawei says that the industry is on its deathbed and they shall not stay at home until the president unease the restrictions.
‘‘We have families we have bills to pay, house rents and school fees where do you want us to go?…our debts are piling these restrictions will hurt us most because we have been living with Corona for the last one year,’’ he said.
They have also asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to cushion those in the hotel industry saying their revenues have shrunk.
‘‘More than 4 million people have been employed directly in this industry when it goes down then it means the rate of unemployment will shoot up,’’ he added.
