Gone are the days when women would use hot water bottles of take painkillers to ease menstrual pain as Marijuana turns out to be the black messiah.
Apparently as Africans,Tanzanians to be precise struggle to have smoking Marijuana legalized,women in America are using it to relieve them of menstrual pains. So in the US,women are inserting cannabis -filled suppositories into their vaginas in a quest to relieve period pain.
The suppositories are tampon-like products, called “Foria Relief” made from cocoa butter with 240mg of added tetrahydrocannabinol (known as THC) and 40mg of cannabidiol (CBD).
It is highly believed that this Marijuana tampons suppress inflammation blocking period pain effectively. However,the product is not sedative and doesn’t get the women high.
The pills can currently only be bought in one of the 23 states of the US where marijuana has been legalised for medical use.
The pills are priced at approximately £30 for four capsules and require the buyer to have a medical marijuana card.
