The Father of alleged fake lawyer Brian Mwenda Njagi who has made headlines for pretending to be a lawyer has now revealed that his son was a diligent and bright student who prioritized education contrary to reports.
Arnold Njagi in an interview with the media has refuted claims that his son was a fake lawyer saying he went to school.
“He pursued a diploma course in criminology that enabled him to join Strathmore University in 2017. He graduated in 2020. In 2021, he joined the Kenya School of Law (KSL) upon which he finished in December 2022,” he said.
This comes after the The Law Society of Kenya accused Mwenda of impersonating a lawyer despite having never attended a law school.

Brian loved School, Not a Liar
He defended Brian’s educational background saying Brian excelled in a diploma course in criminology, which eventually paved his way into Strathmore University in 2017.
“This is a clear indication that my son is educated and qualified. I have no doubts about him. He has also told me that these claims are not true but we are leaving everything to the courts but justice should be delivered to him,” Njagi added.
He said that Brian’s performance at Strathmore was exceptional, culminating in his graduation in 2020.
Njagi revealed that his son later joined the Kenya School of Law, completing his studies in December 2022.
Brian Father’s Plea to Government
Njagi was shocked over the online ridicule and accusations directed at his son, given that he had pursued a legitimate education and had shown discipline in his studies.
“Our son is learned since we have been doing follow-up when he was in school, and we held several fundraisers for his school fees until he was done,”
Njagi has further urged authorities to expedite the ongoing investigations into the matter to bring the truth to light.
