Fast rising Girl group Band Beca, a duet Comprising of Becky Sangolo and Carol Kamweru have opened up on why they ended taking part in the just concluded Eric Omondi’s Reality TV Show , Wife Material.
The show saw comedian Eric Omondi stage a dating show with several girls, ending up with a fake wedding with Carol Kamweri.
According to Kamweri, they joined the show in order to promote their upcoming album known as Beca Flavour.
“We joined the Reality Show purposefully to promote our upcoming album known as Beca Flavour which is slated for release in February” Said Carol.
“We were also bored as people were locked up in quarantine and we opted to have free entertainment for two months” added Becky.
Though they received a lot of trolls and body shaming, Carol says that it worked to their advantage.
She says that they managed to grow their Instagram page from around 45,000 followers to 87,000 followers.
“Our parents were very supportive and understanding, they knew the whole thing was a hoax,mom told me to think of really settling down,” she stated.
