It is now clear that the fall out between the governor of Nairobi Mike Mbuvi Sonko and Majority leader Abdi Hassan Guyo is what has fueled the return of Nairobi speaker Beatrice Elachi at the assembly of Nairobi.
In the past two weeks Guyo and the Acting County Speaker Chege Mwaura have been at logger heads with the county boss over his leadership style faulting his recent suspension of 16 top officials after the Precious Talent School incident.
The move did not go well with the governor bearing in mind that majority leader and acting speaker have a mandate to support the government actions.
And today Private security officers attached to Sonko blocked the assembly entrance at the executive wing and at some point there was a bitter exchange between them and Guyo.
This was clear that Sonko needed to teach the two, Chege and Guyo a political lesson since they are the same individuals who engineered the impeachment of Ealchi.
‘‘Wewe ndio unachimba gavana huezi mwaga mtama na tunakuona utajua Nairobi ni ya nani [You the one back stabbing the governor you will know this Nairobi belongs to who]’’ said a source.
Meanwhile Elachi is back in office and has promised Guyo and Ngara MCA Chege Mwaura hell should they cross her path again.
She accused Guyo for manipulating Nairobi MCAs through blackmail and intimations.
‘’You abused me to go and sleep in former premiers bedroom am telling you this will not go down well with you ,you must respect women and I will handle you head on welcome to murky politics of Nairobi and I don’t fear you.’’ Elachi said .
The speaker also invoked the governor’s name saying she is ready to work with him urging Sonko to shun Guyo’s team that has been colluding with cartels to blackmail him.
‘‘Governor you know where we came from with you and you also know the respect I have for you let’s now work together but I want to assure Nairobi Mcas that this assembly will be ran through rules and regulation stipulated in our laws and we shall support you’’ Elachi said.
