Police are suspecting gang retaliation as the cause of death for Jamaican Reggae Musician Tabby Diamond who was shot dead last week.
Kirk Ricket Commander of the St. Andrew South Police Station says Tabby Diamond might have been shot dead by a gang retaliating the murder caused by his (Tabby’s) son who is currently in police custody.
According to Ricket, Diamond’s son in a known member of a violent gang in the area and that the shooting of five people that saw Diamond killed could have originated from a continuation of son’s acts.
“Whether by injury, Mr Shaw has jumped out in this assessment because he has a son who is known as a violent producer, in fact the son is currently in our custody on a charge of murder and a result in trying to get a better understanding we are looking to see if the activities of the son could have resulted into the murder,” said Ricket.
“This incident last night would have originated from a continuation of the act. Again preliminary investigations we are looking at the persons affected by this incident last night,” said Ricket.
Diamond died last night in a shooting incident that saw five people injured.
