Huruma Schools on the spot for conducting holiday tuition despite ban

Balozi Primary School  a private school in Huruma Kwa Chief Area Mathare constituency is now on the spot for conducting holiday tuition despite the ban by the government.

The Primary  school has hired different  form four graduates  who pose as teachers and teach pupils in various subjects every holidays.

According to Peter Mutua  Huruma a  resident, the pupils at Balozi  have been exposed to sexual immoralities and most of the time they do not stay in class.

‘‘We want the government to investigate  what happens here and close this schools immediately , we have also seen this pupils roaming about instead of being in class and you know this exposes  them to to other immoral activities,’’ Mutua said.

The community have also blamed the area administration for allowing such impunity to continue  even after the government banned tution.

Meanwhile the school owner Daniel Mongeri has  distanced himself with the activities at the school blaming some of his staffs for doing tuition illegally.
