Comedian Njoro of the Papa Shirandula TV Show has revealed that he made more money as a hawker than when he started out in the industry.
Njoro says that when he started out as an extra in acting, he would make only Ksh. 300.
Njoro who was hawking sweets says that he dropped out of Utalii College where he was studying Tourism and Catering.
“Baba yangu alikuwa ananipatia fare niende Colle,mi nakula chipo alafu naenda National Theater,nachekesha watoi wakikam kuona show za set books huku nikiwauzia switi,Sema usapere” he said.
“Nilijua nikiwa extra kwa acting ata nikilipwa soo tatu ntauza switi packets mingi na bado ntakuwa mbele” he added.
Njoro remembered how he lacked fare in several occasions where the shows they had staged flopped.
