After damning loss of presidential race in 2022,the Azimio leader Raila Odinga has not made it clear whether he will be on the ballot or not.
Raila while on an interview with Citizen Tv hinted out that is too early to rule him out of 2027 presidential race.
“I am not talking about running for presidency am concerned about has just happened I want to make sure that this matter is cleaned up,why would Kenyans again go and queue in 2027 to vote when their votes will not count ? I don’t have to run as a president but am not saying am going to run.” Odinga said.
Meanwhile he has reiterated that his journey to political justice is not yet over as he term out going Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission Chairman Wafula Chubukati as “criminal” who belongs to jail.
“In my view, Mr Chebukati is a criminal who should be prosecuted and sentenced to jail. What he has committed is a great crime against the humanity and people of this country,” the Azimio chief told Citizen TV’s Trevor Ombija.
“I believe strongly that he, not the other four commissioners, should be in the dock,” he added, referring to Juliana Cherera, Irene Masit, Justus Nyang’aya and Francis Wanderi, who disowned the presidential election results.
