Aspiring member of Parliament for Embakasi Central Abdi Hassan Guyo has received a major boost after Agikuyu and Borana elders endorsed his candidature.
Guyo who also doubles as majority leader at Nairobi City County Assembly has poked his eyes on education, youth empowerment, security and women empowerment as part of his key agenda.
He accused the current member of parliament for not prioritizing what ails Embakasi Central residents in his work.
“I wonder why we have so many perimeter walls at Police stations yet we don’t have enough classrooms in our schools, when elected I will invest much in school infrastructure so we can accommodate the growing population in schools.” Guyo told the residents.
“In Kayole Central by 8pm at night all open air business and markets are shut because we don’t have enough street lights when elected I will ensure this is done so that we can have a 24 hour economy ….we don’t want to see what is happening right now whereby the bars are open and business are closed because of lights…I have done this in Matopeni ward and I can do it in the entire Embakasi Central when given a chance.” He added.
The event was attended by other leaders including area MCAs.
“Guyo is a leader of his words …I am the vice chair ward development fund WDF because of Abdi Guyo, primarily I should be any position because am an opposition MCA elected under ODM but Guyo did not look at that…he is not tribal and I can assure you that he will help many if elect him as your member of Parliament.’’ Fredrick Okeyo MCA Kayole South told the residents.
