Ghetto Radio news reporter George Nyandia alias  Milo paid tribute to his late father.

The funeral took place over the weekend, as his friends and colleagues showed unity with him.

One colleague encouraged Milo about facing the loss of a parent, while another addressed mourners describing his deep friendship with the Nairobi based reporter.

“Sisi ni marafiki wa Milo tunasaidiana na Milo katika kikazi na marafiki husimama saa ile kuna shida na sa ile kuna furaha . Saa ile kuna shida ndio tunasimama nawe, tumetoka mbali hadi tumefika hapa tumesemam asante. To Milo be strong these thinsg happen, I am also an orphan so you have to be strong, Thank you.” said Benard Odira alias Ogogos

When it was his turn to speak, Milo narrated a heartfelt tribute to his late father.

In his emotional message, the journo confessed how he will dearly miss his dad counsels, walking down the memory lane to the days he was still alive.

“Today, the Lord called my incredible Daddy home. I am so blessed to have had a father that I love so deeply, as I miss him every, single day,” Milo said.

He went on to assure her late dad that she will keep on fighting, with hope that they shall meet again (life after death).

 “But with every bit of fight within me, I choose to say that death does not have the final say. That as long as I live, I will carry him in my heart. And as long as my feet stand upon this dry earth, the world will still quake from the impact of his days”. He added.

Milo lost his father Dominic Nyandia Odemba  on 28th August 2023 after a long battle with diabetes.

He was buried on 16th September2023 in Jimo village,Kisumu County.

Ghetto Radio crew was represented by its Managing Director Julius Owino Ondijo alias Maji-Maji who challenged Milo to work hard to keep his father’s spirit alive.

Maji-Maji also urged mourners to support education by ensuring that no child drops out of school due to school feels.

He also advocated for sustainable community development projects especially having fresh water supply in schools to serve the community.
