Imara Daima MCA Kennedy Obuyu has stirred an online exchange with blogger Robert Alai after the latter claimed that he was bribed with Ksh. 2,000 to vote against Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
Angered Obuya took to his Social Media pages and recorded a video showing off some dollar notes allegedly given to him by Governor Sonko.
“Ulisema nimepewa Ksh. 2000, does this look like 2,000 bob, you are an a*** does this look like 2,000 Alai, Robert Alai?” said Obuya while showing off the dollar currencies in his hands.
Alai on Friday claimed that the MCAs had been given Ksh. 2,000 to travel to Mombasa in a bid to deny the house quorum to impeach the governor.
“I can NEVER take those MCAs Mike Sonko collected like beans and forced to take photos confirming they have received money to save him. I can never again recognize them again as serious leaders…How do you even allow yourself to be paraded like a goat in the market to take photos and save a person? I know some 5 or 6 of them there and someone like Obuya has been a friend but I can’t even take him seriously anymore. Hata kama nimekula pesa yako, you can’t parade me like a goat. Never,” said Alai.
Obuya also questioned Alai’s now claimed allegiance to opposition leader Raila Odinga.
According to Obuya, Alai should be the last person questioning his allegiance to Raila following his unending criticism on the ODM leader.
“Achietha Rochieth Tatufa watu wakutusi…..simama uchaguliwe wewe pia, masiku hizi zote tunapigwa teargas na BABA…you were on my party leadership neck with unending insults…..mahali tutakutana itakua #NdiNaNda…..you are the least person to question my loyalty to BABA…and you have no capacity to handle me,” stated Obuya.
