As Nairobi City County politics continue to take shape it has now emerged that Azimio Team led by gubernatorial aspirant Tim Wanyonyi is fronting former Dagoreti South Member of Parliament Denis Waweru as his running mate in the race.

Waweru had earlier on declared his interest for the top county job but has backed off his bid throwing his weight behind Tim.

“Baba we are working together with hounourable Tim Wanyonyi and whatever direction you will give us then am ready to follow,” Waweru told congregation at a church in Kawangware.

Yesterday the two again had a joint function at Githurai 44 in Roysambu where Waweru again took charge of Tim’s campaigns rallying Mount Kenya people in Nairobi to support the Westlands lawmaker.

“We have agreed to work together and for Azimio Team led by gubernatorial candidate Tim we have agreed to Work together and I can assure you that this is the winning team,” Wanyonyi told Githurai 44 residents.

According to insiders in Wanyonyis’ camp Denis is likely to deputize Tim in a well orchestrated plan to accommodate the former lawmaker into city  politics and also to help Tim in consolidate the mount Kenya votes.

“I think this kind of political trajectory will hand him a cool Kikuyu votes …he is a man on a mission …he first wants to woe Mount Kenya voters who control a larger voting  block in the county and he does that by giving them one of  their own opportunity and he will declare him very soon,” the source told Ghetto Radio News.

According to the Team Azimio Nairobi of Mr Wanyonyi, they are the face of true leadership that will take the Capital City to the next level.

“This is the election we are going to elect a Governor of Nairobi because Nairobi has been running without one. We want to assure that we are ready to give you back Nairobi. We want to assure you we are ready to give you back the Nairobi because you deserve the best,” Mr Wanyonyi said.
