The second edition of the Peace Tournament is set to be held at the Ziwani Umeme Grounds on Saturday.
The two teams that will be playing against each other are Ziwani Combined and Githurai All Stars who will be hosting the away match next weekend.
Leaders expected to grace the event are aspiring Starehe MPs Amos Mwago of Jubilee and Simon Mbugua of UDA.
“Football brings people together,”says Tom Dollar, one of the organizers, stating that the event will strictly be non-political.
The aim of the tournament is to unite people and preach peace as we are approaching the general elections.
“I am calling on the People of Ziwani to record a large turnout on Saturday and support our team since the supporters of Githurai usually show up in large numbers,” said Dollar.
He states that he expects a lot of people to show up for this tournament.
